Literary texts have been in the focus of linguistic research for years. Scholars have described the rules of their composition, specific vocabulary, system of characters created by expressive means and stylistic devices, features of the author’s style, and identified structural and semantic text categories using different approaches to their analysis. The aim of our research is to undertake a comparative analysis of literary and media texts bringing light to their common and distinctive features. One of the prominent features of media texts is their belonging to a medium, which we understand broadly, as any means of communication throughwhich we can express our thoughts, attitudes or opinions in such a way as to be understood by people both from our inner and outer circle.
